Psychology at the heart of my practice
I have a PhD in Psychology and work in psychological research at King’s College London. My doctoral research explored anxiety and how the way we imagine future events can influence how we feel about them. That background shapes the way I practise, and it is why the work here is practical, collaborative and evidence-informed.
How cognitive behavioural hypnotherapy can help
I combine hypnosis with cognitive behavioural techniques to help you understand the patterns maintaining low mood and develop more helpful ways of responding.
Understand what keeps low mood going
Identify the thinking and behaviour patterns maintaining your low mood, and the self-critical thoughts that come with them.
Rebuild motivation and activity
Increase helpful activity at a pace that works for you, so that doing less and feeling worse stops feeding itself.
Build confidence and skills you keep
Develop more balanced ways of thinking, rehearse more effective responses and learn self-hypnosis you can use on your own.

Common questions
A personalised, evidence-informed approach
Treatment is tailored to you and your goals rather than a standard script. Depending on what you need, sessions may include cognitive techniques, behavioural activation, guided imagery, confidence-building, problem-solving and self-hypnosis.
The aim is not simply to make you feel better during a session. It is to help you understand the patterns maintaining low mood and develop practical skills that support longer-term change.
You stay aware and in control throughout
Hypnosis is used here as a focused state of attention, and it strengthens the cognitive and behavioural work we do together. You remain aware and in control throughout, and we agree what we are working on before we begin.
